Plus Size Clothing That Packs Well for Travel
When we're looking for plus size clothing that packs well, what we really want is clothes that won't be a wrinkly mess at journey's end. That comes down to fabric. Certain fabrics wrinkle if you so much as look at them. (Yes, linen and cotton, I'm looking at you.) But the fabrics we use in our Classics, Jersey Classics, and Silky Classics don't wrinkle.
(What's the difference between Classics, Jersey Classics, and Silky Classics? Some longtime customers say they can't tell the difference, but they're different weights. They're all silky soft. Jersey is the most lightweight, and is a flat knit fabric. Classic and Silky Classics are made from a finely ribbed fabric, which gives them a bit more weight. Silky Classics are the lighter of the two types. )
I often go on about the amazing things they're doing with synthetic fabric these days and Vikki Vi Classics are why. These pieces breathe, flow and drape - but they don't wrinkle. (Keep them out of the dryer and they won't pill or fade either.)
Confession time - my current closet situation is less than ideal so the chest at the foot of my bed is home to a big pile of clean laundry that I'm totally going to put away. When I pull a non-Vikki Vi piece from the stack, it's wrinkled pretty badly - which is no more than I deserve. But my Vikki Vi clothes emerge from the pile looking as fresh as they did when they went onto the pile in the first place.
What I'm saying is that you could literally throw Vikki Vi clothes into a suitcase and they'll come out looking great. No genius packing hacks needed. Though I'll give you a helpful tip anyway - if you check your luggage, put at least one outfit in your carry-on bag. That way if your suitcase doesn't arrive when and where you do, you won't have to panic shop (if you can even find a store that carries plus sizes).
Traveling with Vikki Vi
Your destination will determine which specific pieces of clothing you need. A cruise vacation calls for a different wardrobe than a business trip. Though with mixing and matching and various accessories, there can be some overlap. A fabulous pair of black pants goes pretty much everywhere, for example. Aside from packing Vikki Vi Classics for your trip, I recommend wearing them while traveling. You'll look put together while wearing your most comfy outfit.
